The Story

THE LEGEND OF GINKO (2000) limited edition Blu-ray with slipcase and art cards.

In the epic fantasy adventure THE LEGEND OF GINGKO, director Park Je-hyeon (THE HUNTRESSES) crafts a sprawling tale of tribal warfare and forbidden romance. Serving as a prequel to the 1996 hit THE GINKO BED, the story centers on the tragic love between Bee, played by Choi Jin-sil (THE LETTER, MY LOVE, MY BRIDE), and Dan, portrayed by Kim Suk-hoon (TUBE).

As rival clans battle for dominance in a mythical ancient era, Bee finds herself at the centre of a bloody conflict involving a malevolent queen, played by Lee Mi-sook (UNTOLD SCANDAL, QUEEN OF TEARS), who seeks her sacrifice. The narrative is further complicated by the arrival of the formidable warrior Juk, played by Sol Kyung-gu (PEPPERMINT CANDY, SILMIDO), and the mysterious Yeon, played by Kim Yun-jin (SHIRI, LOST).

THE LEGEND OF GINGKO is a visually ambitious production that blends high-stakes swordplay with a poignant exploration of destiny and sacrifice amidst an eternal struggle for power.
