The Story

Limited Edition 1,000 only individually numbered Blu-ray of MISS BAEK (2018) with 60 minutes of extra features, booklet and art cards.

In the gritty, heart-wrenching drama MISS BAEK, director Lee Ji-won delivers a searing critique of social apathy and domestic violence. The film stars Han Ji-min (ROOFTOP PRINCE) in a career-defining role as Baek Sang-ah, a cynical ex-convict who lives a marginal existence, emotionally scarred by her own history of abandonment.

Her world shifts when she encounters Ji-eun (Kim Si-a), a neglected young girl shivering in the winter cold. Recognizing the reflection of her own traumatic past in the child’s bruises, Sang-ah is compelled to act. Alongside a supportive detective, played by Lee Hee-jun, she embarks on a perilous mission to rescue Ji-eun from her abusive father (Baek Soo-jang) and his sadistic girlfriend (Kwon So-hyun).

With similar themes to A GIRL AT MY DOOR (2014) starring Bae Doona, MISS BAEK is a visceral, beautifully shot exploration of trauma and the redemptive power of maternal solidarity that refuses to look away from uncomfortable truths.
